About
I work in the genres of sculpture, object, and installation. The main themes of my art are the aesthetics of the natural and industrial, ruins, and archeology. The main theme of the works is a world of post-apocalyptic landscape, where one can find elements of different eras and cultures, they may look like the remains of wars and disasters, environmental degradation, or like the consequences of the natural decline of cities and spaces, like fragments of fallen civilizations, or simply like scenery hidden among the greenery - the ruin theme diverges in all directions.
I’m interested in the fusion of natural, building and found materials. It’s a kind of archaeological gesture for me to give old-world objects a new life, be it a last-century chandelier, used tires or a rusty piece of metal. Together they add up to a form of visual poetry, where their role is elegy, storytelling and an appeal to the senses to overcome “the ruin of life”, tragic events.
